This is a first post on Leaflet, mostly to see what happens, and where that happens. I need to do that test to see where Leaflet ends up in my digital social/writing arsenal. Is it Social Media? Is it a blog? I currently don't know.

The weird thing for me is that I have no shortage of places to actually write stuff on. I have blog(s), all the social media, I have Obsidian Publish, Standard Notes Publish etc. However, despite having all these outlets I lately have found myself writing less than ever. Perhaps I have alternative paralysis. The best way of curing that obviously is to add yet another alternative, right? :)

I might as well add a random image here too, to see how it is handled.

A fake book cover of an O'Reilly book, who were famous for having various animals on their covers despite covering computer related topics.

This particular cover has a small lemur or similar nocturnal animal with huge eyes on it, eyes being wide open. The text on the fake cover says: "Oh Fuck, The Acid is Kicking in. Jesus Christ, the Walls are Melting!

We actually used to have that fake book cover as a poster on the wall of one of my old work places.

Does this service understand markdown? Or is it some bbcode version? Perhaps, simply, html & css? The answer seems to be markdown, which is much appreciated. I should therefore be able to:

  • Write a list

  • With several bullets

  • Not have to worry about syntax

Can I do block-quotes too?
I most definitely can! That's good!

Right. So now what do I do? Is there a save button somewhere?

Ah! There is a publish button right up on top! Let's try that!
